Tan Sri Abdullah Ahmad conferred the Legion d’Honneur (Chevalier)

Tan Sri Abdullah Ahmad, immediate past-President of the Society and current Vice-President (Cantab), was conferred on 9 October 2004 the Legion d’Honneur (Chevalier) by H.E. Jacques Lapouge, Ambassador of France in Malaysia. Since 1978, only 10 Malaysians have been conferred this award.

The Legion d’Honneur (Legion of Honour) is one of the most prestigious French awards and the country’s highest civilian honour. It was instituted by Emperor Napoleon I in 1802.

The Committee wishes to offer its warmest congratulations to Tan Sri Abdullah on this great honour accorded to him.
