Yuh Yng Chook (Cantab) -
Vice-President for Cambridge
![]() |
A Trinity Hall (Cantab) graduate, Yuh Yng is an ardent fan of the Oxford & Cambridge rivalry in boat racing. Although not a rower herself, Yuh Yng founded the Oxbridge Malaysia Boat Race back in 2005 and remained the main organiser for 5 consecutive years. She is sad to note that all the “organising energy” poured in has not (yet!) produced a win for Cambridge - but has faith it will very soon! Other notable contributions to the Society include organising the Boat Race Ball, Oxbridge Students’ Debates and various social events. She is currently the Country Manager for JobStreet.com Malaysia, the nation’s No. 1 Job Site.
Emma Davidson (Oxon) -
Honorary Secretary
Emma read PPE at Corpus Christi and has lived in Malaysia since 1997 with her Malaysian husband and their children. She is an Asssociate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Institute of Risk Management. However, Emma finds teaching much more fulfilling and holds the Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching for Adults (CELTA) and the Cambridge Distance Diploma (DELTA). She now teaches English at the British Council in KL and, in her free time, fundraises for charities and enjoys reading, swimming and rowing.

ICT business. When he is not busy looking after the Society's coffers, he runs an investment company which focuses on inward investment to Malaysia. He is a Yorkshireman and is the only known surviving supporter of Leeds United Football Club in Asia.
