Poor pupils to win subsidised places at Oxford University
Up to 1,000 poor teenagers are to be given heavily subsidised places at Oxford after the university was handed a £75 million donation by a former student. The ancient institution will hand undergraduates £11,000 per year in living costs – and cut fees by around two-thirds – to enable more bright teenagers from deprived backgrounds to attend.

The Society's 50th Annual General Meeting
The 50th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of The Oxford & Cambridge Society Malaysia took place on Sunday, July 1st 2012 at 6.30 pm and all members were encouraged to attend. The AGM was followed by the traditional President's Reception. All members were notified by email.
The Oxbridge Malaysia & KTJ Debate and Workshop 2012
The Society recently organised The Oxbridge Malaysia & KTJ Debate and Workshop 2012 in conjunction with MABECS which was held on Saturday May 19th at Kollej Tuanku Ja'afar. The day began with a Plenary debate between four speakers from the Oxford and Cambridge Society Malaysia.
Oxbridge Malaysia/Sunway Public Speaking Competition
The 2012 Oxford & Cambridge Society Malaysia/Sunway University public speaking competition preliminary rounds and semi-finals were held on Saturday April 14th at Sunway University. Almost 120 fourth and fifth form students from as far away as Ipoh and Melaka toook part.
