Dear Members,

We are pleased to invite you to our 3rd 4th Wednesday dinner at 7.30pm on 28 September, at Entre Parenthese, Bangsar, KL. This is a quaint little French restaurant, Entre Parenthese, hidden on the less busy side of Bangsar. Trust me, if you’ve not been told it was there, you would never find it. Even after I knew it was there, I drove up and down that street several times before abandoning the car and hunting it down on foot. To save you all the angst I went through, I will let you know exactly how to get there, though one of our members suggested that I simply put the address and declare this event a dinner cum treasure hunt!

Basically, the restaurant is on Lorong Maarof (parallel to Jalan Maarof) there is a row of shop houses which seem to consist completely of Indian restaurants. You will see two restaurants, Tandoori Wallah and Rest. HSBC (yes, why haven’t they been sued yet – maybe because there isn’t an ATM in sight). The entrance to Entre Parenthese is between these two restaurants. You go up the stairs and voila!

This little place was recommended by Karen and Keith Currie, two of our members, and I tried it out – it was worth the search! Decco Thean, the chef, is throwing in a bottle of wine for every four diners, so come one, come all!

Parking should be ample on Lorong Maarof.

Please RSVP by email by 25 September so that I can make reservations. Guests are welcome!

Best wishes
The Committee
