English Language Event 05
invitation to be Essay Competition Judge

 

Dear Members,

The Oxford & Cambridge Society of Malaysia is working on yet another English Language Event, following the roaring successes over the past two years. As with previous years, this is a community project targetted at Secondary School students.

Amongst the activities to encourage, promote and enhance the use of the English Language in schools are:

1. Talks:
(a) Effective Writing Skills (45 mins)
(b) Oral Communication Skills (45 mins)
(c) Oxford + Cambridge University Entry Process (40 mins)

2. Essay writing competition

We are again seeking volunteers from among our own Oxford & Cambridge Society members to sit on our panel of judges for the Essay Competition.
Would you be willing to help out on the day? Sunway University College will also be fielding a team of English assessors to shortlist the essays and we'd like an O&C Team to make the final judgement on the shortlisted essays.

The event is confirmed to be held on Saturday 25th June 2005 at Sunway University College and should last the entire morning.
