In conjunction with the annual Varsity Boat Race in London,
the Oxford and Cambridge Society of Malaysia is proud to present
our very first Boat Race here in Malaysia – in a unique
format which will be no less competitive than the one down the
River Thames!
Which team will emerge as the winner? You will have to find
out at this Event:
Date: 3rd of April 2005 (Sunday)
Time:
9.00am - Registration of Crew Members,
9.20am - Welcoming Speech,
9.30am - Start of Race
Venue: Boat House, Lake Garden
Format of Race (for year 2005):
1. The boats used for the Race will be Canoes
so that everyone can participate in this event, even non boaties.
2. Each team will consist of 8 crew members with at least 2
female rowers.
3. The Race consists of 4 relay legs with 2 rowers per Canoe.
4. Each relay leg will follow the route shown in the attached
map. The Race will start at the Boat House and each changeover
for the next leg will be at the Boat House itself as well.
5. The first team to finish the relay Race will be declared
as the winner (provided that the team is not disqualified on
technicalities).
