The Society aims to promote social, recreational and cultural activities among its members and to further causes or projects in the interest of the Universities or their members. True to its objectives, the Society organises the annual Boat Race Dinner, talks by leading economic and political figures as well as informal events, black-tie dinners and debates on current issues. The 55th Annual Oxford & Cambridge Society Malaysia Boat Race Ball

We are pleased to invite you to our 55th annual Oxford & Cambridge Society Malaysia  Boat Race Ball.  This year’s dinner and dance will be will be held at 7.00 pm on Saturday, 5th April 2014 at The Ballroom, The Royal Lake Club.

 

Oxford University Malaysia Club 22nd Anniversary Dinner

The Oxford University Malaysia Club held its 22nd Anniversary Dinner on the 27th of September 2013 at the Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur. The guest of honour was H.E. Ambassador Nakamura of Japan (University College, Oxford). The dinner was also attended by Dr. Anne Mullen, Senior Tutor of Admissions at St. Anne's College Oxford as well as Y.B. The Oxford & Cambridge Society Malaysia Boat Race 2012

The much awaited Boat Race is back! It took place on the 18th of November. This year, we rowed for the first time in our own boats, how about that!! An event not to be missed, this year’s boat race once again combined family fun and SERIOUS competition!

 

Charity Book Launch: "Kuala Lumpur at War, 1939-1945" by Andrew Barber

The launch of a new work of scholarship by Society member Andrew Barber took place at 7.00 pm on Monday 5th November. The launch of "Kuala Lumpur at War, 1939-1945" was held at the British High Commissioner's Residence and was hosted by H.E. Simon Featherstone CMG.

Poor pupils to win subsidised places at Oxford University

Up to 1,000 poor teenagers are to be given heavily subsidised places at Oxford after the university was handed a £75 million donation by a former student. The ancient institution will hand undergraduates £11,000 per year in living costs – and cut fees by around two-thirds – to enable more bright teenagers from deprived backgrounds to attend.
